- I have over 50 years experience and have practiced law in state and federal courts across the USA, from New York to California and in between. After graduating from law school in 1956, I worked for a few firms in N.Y.C, and was involved primarily in civil matters representing a broad spectrum of clients. Along the way I developed some expertise in landlord-tenant matters, credit & collections, litigation, mortgage banking & mortgage foreclosure, condemnation, leasing and real estate issues. In 1965 I went to work for Mobil Oil Corporation in N.Y.C. and was assigned to the U.S. Marketing & Refining Division's Office of General Counsel (O.G.C.) as a staff attorney. I progressed through a series of promotions from staff attorney to Assistant Division Attorney, Senior Marketing Planning Analyst, Senior Headquarters Marketing Attorney, Regional Attorney (U.S. Central Region), & Litigation & Claims Attorney. In my various regional and headquarters assignments, I counseled the Managers of the HURIS (Employee Relations) groups responsible for EEOC. ADA, Civil Rights Acts, ERISA, Labor/Union Contracts & Arbitration, Legislation & Government Relations (Lobbying), Company Contract Drafting and Revisions, Major Facilities Construction, Wholesale & Retail Credit Matters, Credit Card Operations, Truth in Lending, Fair Credit Reporting, Advertising Guides, etc, Unfair Trade Practice Compliance, Anti-trust and FTC Compliance, Training of Real Estate representatives in title, leasing and condemnation law and practice, as well as performing some of the functions of the Secretary of a major corporation. I also managed a Task Force for Mobil that was charged with permitting and constructing a 100 mile, 16 inch diameter, heated , private oil pipeline (the Mobil M-70 Pipeline) in California. The line cost $100 million to build and required environmental impact studies under NEPA and CEQA. It passed through the heart of California, 2 National forests and 5 cities, as it wove its way to Mobil's Torrance Refinery. The line was permitted and built as planned. After retiring from Mobil in 1990 I have continued to practice law, first in Las Vegas, Nevada, and, since 2007, in Illinois. I have concentrated in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, a varied general practice, and acting as corporate general counsel to several small companies, in California and Nevada, as well as a litigation practice in Illinois.
