Courteney Hudson Goodson
Arkansas Supreme CourtJustice Courtney Hudson Goodson was raised in Harrison, Arkansas, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994. She graduated with high honors from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Justice Goodson served as a law clerk at the Arkansas Court of Appeals from 1997 to 2005 for Judges Terry Crabtree and Frank Arey. In 2008, she was elected to the Arkansas Court of Appeals from the third district. In 2010, she was elected to the Arkansas Supreme Court where she serves as the liaison to the Committee on Professional Conduct. In 2014, the Women’s Law Student Association at the University of Arkansas School of Law awarded her the Gayle Pettus Pontz Award. She is a member of the Benton County Bar Association, Washington County Bar Association, Pulaski County Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, and Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers. Justice Goodson and her family reside in Fayetteville.
